Aliso Viejo, Calif. - The Laguna Niguel Stake sustained a new stake presidency on Sunday (May 6) at Stake Conference. Visiting General Authority, Elder Craig C. Christensen, a member of the Presidency of the Seventy, and Elder Kyle S. McKay, also a General Authority Seventy, released Robert Davis (President), Richard Lamprecht (First Counselor) and Allen Ostergar (Second Counselor) after nine years of lovingly serving the members of the Laguna Niguel Stake. The members of the stake are grateful to President Davis, his counselors and their families for the sacrifice, time and love they have devoted for these many years.
Elder Christensen and Elder McKay called and the Laguna Niguel Stake members sustained Blaine Evanson as Stake President, Matt Miller as First Counselor and Brian Neff as Second Counselor. President and Sister Robin Evanson and their family have lived in the Laguna Niguel Stake for nearly two years. They recently moved from South Pasadena with their four children. President Evanson grew up in Naperville, Illinois and Sandy, Utah while Sister Evanson grew up in Anaheim, Calif. They both attended BYU and President Evanson attended Columbia Law School to become a practicing attorney while Sister Evanson is a Registered Nurse.
President Miller and Sister Patrice Miller have lived in the Laguna Stake for 18 years with their four children. President Miller grew up in Orange County (Fountain Valley) while Sister Miller hails from Orem, Utah. They both attended BYU where Sister Miller got a degree in Special Education and became a teacher while President Miller went on to UCLA Dental School to become a dentist.
President and Sister Neff are also fairly new to the stake as of two and a half years. They both grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended the University of Utah. President Neff has worked in advertising agencies his entire adult life while Sister Neff designs sea-glass jewelry. They enjoy their four children and two grandchildren.
Stake Conference was a wonderful meeting with the releasing and sustaining process of our Stake Presidencies. We were honored to hear wonderful testimonies of love, service and Jesus Christ from the outgoing Stake Presidency, new Stake Presidency and our visiting General Authority.
