For the Strength of Youth Summer Camp (FSY)

WHAT IS FSY?

These large, multi-stake events are designed to help your youth have fun as they apply the gospel in all aspects of their life. At FSY, youth will participate in five days of devotionals, classes, and activities which will help them strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ and feel joy and belonging as they live the gospel.

Youth will be divided into counselor groups of approximately 10 youth led by 1 young single adult counselor of the same gender, and into companies, typically made up of 2-3 counselor groups.

Youth will have a week of fun activities, uplifting devotionals and classes, new friends, and spiritual growth.  Below is a link that outlines all the major activities and events for each day. Click on each tile for an activity description.

who may attend?

Youth may attend FSY if they turn 14 or older in 2023 and may be no older than 18 by the last day of the session they plan to attend.

Youth who cannot attend any sessions their stake is invited to may register for any available space in their country of residence on March 16, 2023 or later.

**Note that neither the ward nor the stake is coordinating a single date for all youth to attend together.  The church opens up a number of FSY weeks for the youth from our stake to choose from and youth may then choose any of these sessions independent of other youth in the ward or stake.**

WHEN & WHERE ARE THE FSY SESSIONS?

Click the link below to see all the available session dates and locations.

* PLEASE NOTE - The first week in the FSY schedule (6.12.23 - 6.17.23) conflicts with Stake Young Men's Camp and the second week of FSY (6.19.23 - 6.24.23) conflicts with Stake Girls Camp.

Since this is our first year doing this, we are not exactly sure how the registration process will look. We highly recommend that you have several sessions figured out as a "Plan A, B, C or D", just in case your top choice(s) get filled up.

WHEN & HOW DO WE REGISTER?

* Parents must register their own youth.  The church will not register the youth for FSY.

* Registration opens on Wednesday, January 25th at 8:00 AM (Pacific Time). Please be patient if the site is running slowly or gets overloaded. Continue to keep checking back, if this happens.

* If you have multiple youth attending FSY, you will need to register them individually.

* Make sure your youth has a church account and password created well before registration day. If they do not have an account, they will need their Record Number (also known as Membership Number), which can be found in LDS Tools. Click on their name, then click on "Membership Information". **Please double check that your username and password work prior to registration.

* If your youth would like to room with a friend, have them coordinate this now, or they may skip this part and make a new friend!  Youth may request a single roommate by entering their desired roommate’s registration confirmation number during or after the registration process.

Two youth of the same sex and same age group, and who are registered in the same session, may request to be linked as roommates. The first youth will register without requesting a roommate and provide his or her registration confirmation number to the second youth, who will enter that number into the roommate request field when they register. Every effort is made in honoring roommate requests; however, they are not guaranteed.  If a roommate is not selected, one will be assigned. Occasionally participants will not be assigned a roommate, due to private rooms at select campuses or an odd number of age-group participants.

Counselor groups and companies are formed into two age groups:

  • Group One includes those turning 14 or 15 years old in 2023.

  • Group Two includes those turning 16 to 18 years old in 2023.

Note that youth can select a different age group if their circumstances require it.

* The date to register is January 25th, beginning at 8 AM.

DETAILS

how much does fsy cost?

The total cost is $150 per youth.  You will be asked to pay $75 upon registration. If this will cause you undue financial hardship, please speak with a member of our bishopric before you register and they may use ward funds to cover the cost. The ward will pay the other $75 from the ward budget allowance for each individual.

IS TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED?

No. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
