Christmas Chalk Walk

The 10th annual Christmas Chalk Walk is back. One of the biggest and brightest Christmas traditions in Aliso Viejo returns on Dec 8-10, 2023 from 5-8:30pm. Experience the artwork of local artists, live music and holiday celebration as donations are gathered for charities in Orange County.

WELCOME TO CHRISTMAS CHALK WALK 2023

The 10th Annual Christmas Chalk Walk will take place Dec. 8-10th, from 5-8pm each night, located at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (22851 Aliso Creek Road, Aliso Viejo). This is a FREE community event and all are welcome to attend.

artist registration is now Closed.

Artists will be chalking their art on black painted plywood (size 8' x 4') oriented in landscape which will then be placed on easels for easy viewing from car level. Artists may chalk in person on Thursday, Dec. 7th at 10am, and the community is welcome to come watch. Artist Rules and Tips

in-person FridaY NIGHT

Join us for our in-person opening night on Friday, Dec. 8th from 5-8pm. All the artwork will be ready and on display! You can park your car and walk around, listen to live music from local musicians, visit with friends, and enjoy delicious cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. A beautiful live nativity will be presented Friday night only. Artists are welcome to attend and visit with other artists and community members.

drive-thru saturday and sunday NIGHTS

Christmas Chalk Walk will be a drive-thru Saturday, Dec. 9th and Sunday, Dec. 10th from 5-8pm. Art will be displayed on large easels for easier viewing from the comfort of your car. Visitors will view the artwork as they drive through lighted tunnels, listen to beautiful music, and uplifting messages from our local faith and city leaders.

collecting food for South County Outreach

We will be collecting optional donations of non-perishable food items for the South County Outreach food market program. Non-perishable food items include canned goods, peanut butter, pasta and jarred sauce, and boxed cereal. If you wish to donate, please bring your items with you Friday night, or leave them in your car Saturday and Sunday night and we will collect them at the end of the drive-thru. Donations are welcomed, but not required.

An Invitation to All

Please help us spread the word and share with family, neighbors, and friends. If seeing the details interests you, the in-person night will be your best choice. If sitting comfortably in your car sounds ideal, you might want to register for the drive-thru nights. Nothing will stop you from doing both, in fact it is encouraged because the two formats have such a different look and feel. No matter what you decide, you will have plenty of time to take in this moment and remember what this special time of year means. Please help us spread the word and share with family, neighbors, and friends!

A Request to Reserve

A reservation is not required but is encouraged to help the organizers better plan for the event, improve the guest experience and provide event updates. A reservation is not a guaranteed arrival time but your best attempt to provide your expected arrival time.
