Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

We write to invite each of you to prepare for and attend our upcoming biannual Stake Conference on January 14-15. There will be an adult session on Saturday at 7:00 pm and a general session on Sunday at 10:00 am, followed by a leadership session (for members of stake and ward councils) at 1:00 pm. All meetings will be held at the Laguna Niguel Stake Center.

Our hope is that this weekend of gatherings will help every member of the stake strengthen their faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and deepen their discipleship.

To that end, we encourage every member between now and stake conference to receive, participate in, and/or administer a priesthood ordinance. We invite those who are endowed to participate in temple ordinances and we invite others to receive a priesthood blessing from a family member, ministering brother, or priesthood leader. We also encourage each member of the stake to prayerfully partake of the sacrament each Sunday until Stake Conference.

We promise those who prepare for Stake Conference in this way will attend the meetings with “ears to hear” (Matthew 11:15), and by doing so will be taught directly by the Holy Ghost (Moroni 10:5; D&C 36:2).
